This year two films set out to draw attention to the Armenian Genocide. The Promise is a love story set at the beginning of the genocide that follows a group of characters as they deal with the persecution of the Armenian people. Embedded in the production of The Promise is Intent to Destroy, a documentary that weaves the production of the the narrative film with the history of the events.
